This 2D coin has POST COMMANDER MIGUEL ALATORRE written around the top of the coin. Along the bottom, the text says: PRESENTED FOR EXCELLENCE Within the black banners, the text reads: SAPPER AIRBORNE There is a bald eagle inside the black crest. Various medals are represented below the bald eagle.
On the other side of the coin, there is an offset printed design of a man wearing a white and green sombrero which has an arrow and a knife puncturing the top part of the sombrero. This mustached man has 3 green slings of ammunition. Holstered on his left hip is a handgun. His left arm has a rifle resting on his left shoulder. On his right hand, he is holding a green bottle with a brown label. He is wearing a long sleeve white shirt with white pants which have the ankles torn off. He’s wearing sandals. The text to his right reads: ESTABLISHED while the text on his left says: APRIL 14, 1955 Under his sandals, the text says: SAN DIEGO 2015 – 2016 The text around the coin reads: VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS DON DIEGO POST 7420 There are 6 stars which are also around the edge of the coin.
