State of New York: Metropolitan Ambulance challenge coin

This beautifully designed State of New York coin is round with the Metropolitan Ambulances patch on the front. Included with the patch, is the text which says: STATE OF NEW YORK and DEPT OF HEALTH Centered within the patch is the medical cross with a snake inside. The word: CERTIFIED sits proudly just below it. Along the outside, the text reads: METROPOLITAN AMBULANCE& FIRST AID COPRS along the bottom, the text says: 1980 – 1999 Lastly, the phrase: CAR 2 is written in red enamel. Three different shades of blue are shown on the Front.

The back has blue, white and red enamel colors. The text around the coin reads: TOUGH TIMES DON’T LAST, TOUGH PEOPLE DO Centered on the middle is the rarely seen Metropolitan Ambulance logo. Included with the logo is a blue medical cross with a snake in the center. Across the top of the coin, the letters: S.A.R. are written in red enamel.
